Politicians pledging to build a "future proof" regulatory market structure is pure political theater. You cannot future-proof a state-managed regulatory wrapper. The entire point of a global, decentralized protocol is that it is already architecturally future-proof because it is governed by mathematics. Relying on a president's promise to protect the industry is a Stockholm syndrome trap.
