SEC Just Busted a $123 Million Fake AI Trading Bot Scam A Texas man just got charged with running a crypto fraud scheme that promised AI trading bots that didn't exist. The #SEC says he raised $123 million from over 2,000 investors. The pitch was classic too-good-to-be-true: automated AI bots that trade crypto for you while you sleep. But the bots were fake. The whole operation was just moving money around to pay earlier investors. Classic Ponzi structure with a #crypto AI wrapper. He allegedly spent investor funds on luxury cars, real estate, and personal expenses. The SEC is charging him with securities fraud and seeking disgorgement plus penalties. This is why "automated AI trading" pitches should trigger every alarm bell you have. If it sounds like free money with zero effort, it's probably just theft with extra steps.
