🇻🇳BREAKING: Proposal for Businesses to Use Digital Assets as Collateral for Bank Loans #5PC A series of urgent legal updates related to digital assets (including crypto assets, as referenced in Resolution 05), virtual assets, intellectual property rights, intangible assets,... 1️⃣ Businesses can now use digital assets as collateral for loans The Ministry of Finance is seeking feedback on the draft Law on Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Under the proposal, these businesses may use digital assets as collateral to secure bank loans, rather than being limited to traditional assets such as real estate or machinery. Currently, 98% of Vietnamese businesses are small and medium-sized enterprises, yet they access only about 20% of available credit due to insufficient tangible assets for collateral. 2️⃣ Government officials must declare digital assets A new decree under the Anti-Corruption Law system will take effect on July 1, 2026. Under this rule, state officials and civil servants must declare digital assets valued at VND 150 million or more—similar to the requirements for real estate, gold, or stocks.
