To put it simply... ✭ XRP was initially created with a total of 100 billion tokens. ✭ No code exists to issue additional tokens afterward. ✭ There is no mining. ✭ In fact, a portion of transaction fees is permanently burned. Therefore, theoretically, the total circulating supply gradually decreases over time. To be precise when saying “100% fixed”: ✭ The maximum supply (100 billion XRP) is fixed. ✭ No additional issuance is possible. ✭ However, the amount available on the market (circulating supply) can fluctuate. Why? ✭ Ripple is gradually releasing large holdings of XRP into the market. ✭ Liquidity changes as escrowed XRP is unlocked. ✭ Lost wallets and burns reduce the effective supply. So, “Someone could arbitrarily print more XRP in the future” — this is impossible under the current design of the XRP Ledger, correct?
