Most people don’t think about governance until something goes wrong. A delivery robot hits a curb, an AI system produces a strange answer, or a machine logs the wrong data. Only then do we ask the quiet question: who checks what the machine actually did?

@Fabric Foundation

That question is where Fabric starts to get interesting. The project is trying to build a shared system where machine actions can be recorded and verified by multiple participants. Instead of trusting a single company’s internal logs, different nodes—independent computers on the network—check whether a claim about machine behavior is accurate. In simple terms, it turns machine activity into verifiable records. That idea sounds abstract, but the comparison some people make is familiar: if cloud services made computing infrastructure accessible through platforms, Fabric might be attempting something similar for machine governance.
