I first learned about quantum computers in 2016, while undergoing training for Boeing’s B777/787 in the United States. I remember thinking it would be terrifying if such technology became widespread. Since Bitcoin’s blockchain lacks quantum resistance—something that will become practically viable next year—it will likely fork soon. I predict that after such a fork, Bitcoin will never return to its previous price levels. Moving forward, mainstream adoption will shift toward ETH, XRP, XLM, HBAR, SOL, and others that offer digital IDs, KYC compliance, transparency, convenience, practicality, high TPS capacity, low costs, and quantum resistance. I hold no grudge against Bitcoin. But since it’s been used for payments in human trafficking, the dark web, drugs, and money laundering, I sincerely hope those uses disappear. Bitcoin itself isn’t to blame—it’s the mafia and criminal organizations that rely exclusively on Bitcoin for payments that frustrate me. That won’t be possible anymore. From now on, it will be possible to trace who bought what on which exchange and how much was sent to whom. It’ll be interesting to see how the Clarity Act shapes this development 👀
