What is K-Tune (KTT)?

K-Tune (KTT) is a music making platform where professional and amateur musicians can gather to write popular songs to sell. KTT is the ERC20 utility token of K-Tune.

Since collaboration became a new normal in music-making, the market has been heavily cartelized as professionals only using their inner circle when recruiting new talents with whom they would like to work with. This is partially due to the fear of copyright infringement and also stems from lack of tools to find rookie producers given the market situatio

Solution #1. K-Tune vamp – open competition 

K-Tune Camp, which is a realm for open competition for producers, is to eliminate information asymmetry in music-making collaboration. No matter who you are and how short your experience is, you can always participate in one of the open Camps to join other professionals. This enables professional and amateur producers to compete fairly and openly for projects. Furthermore, professional producers can always find talented new partners, and amateurs can be rewarded fairly for their parts in the music.

Problem #2. Unfair royalties distribution

Professional producers are on the constant lookout for new, fresh sound yet conventional methodology to find new talents has been fairly closed - by using their inner circle. This is mainly due to two problems - physical limitations and fear of copyright infringement. Amateur producers have their say too. It's almost impossible for them to "debut" by working with professional producers as there are simply no gates opened. To make things worse, even a rookie producer who is lucky enough to work with mega-hit producers, cannot expect a fair share of the end product - a hit song. So the problems here are as follow: professional producers cannot find talented yet trustworthy rookie partners and amateurs fear the "royalty-steal" and no access to the hit-makers.

Solution #2. Transparent royalties powered by blockchain

On K-Tune Camp, all royalties and related copyrights must be announced upon launching a project, that is, the owner of Camp has to declare what percentage of royalties would be distributed should the final winner(s) of the Camp is decided. Once the project is finished, the contenders who have been chosen will be entitled for the shares of royalties from the consensus. For a possible future dispute, K-Tune stores all transactions during the Camp on our sidechain so that the parties can refer it.

Sean Jong, founder, and CEO of K-Tune Sagl., is a serial entrepreneur and blockchain consultant. 

With experience in various industries including education, music, and advertising in a professional capacity, his curiosity and explorer spirit keeps him motivated and open to new worlds. 

A nomad at heart, he has lived in many different countries in his youth and always strives to understand, learn, and respect other cultures. He believes our differences are what make us interesting, colorful and so full of life.

Currently, he spends most of his time promoting his new business, K-Tune, which is a platform for global artists to better collaborate aiming to make music-making easier for everyone.

Hank Kong, as known as Sabyuk or Gloryface, is a renowned K-pop producer whose discography includes Holiday(sung by SUZY), Mr. Chu(sung by A.Pink) to name a few. He has been producing more than 60 K-pop songs over the past 15 years and represents K-Tune as a Chief Contents Officer.
