🇺🇸 US STABLECOIN RULEBOOK: A MAJOR STEP FOR CRYPTO
The GENIUS Act is moving from legislation to implementation.
🏛️ On October 21, the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) finalized key regulations for payment stablecoin issuers. The framework is scheduled to take effect on January 18, 2027.

🔹 Licensing rules for eligible US and foreign issuers
Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve's proposed rules remain open for public comment until November 30.

Stablecoins are evolving from crypto trading infrastructure into a regulated component of the financial system.
Clearer rules could encourage institutional adoption and strengthen confidence in dollar-backed digital payments.
But regulation also brings compliance costs, potentially raising barriers for smaller issuers. And not every part of the US framework is finalized.
