SOL ETF OUTFLOWS: $25.5M Gone in One Week — Should Traders Worry?
$SOL is facing a new test of institutional sentiment.
US spot Solana ETFs recorded $25.5 million in net outflows during October 12–16, extending their negative streak to 10 consecutive trading sessions.
Here's the breakdown:
🔻 Bitwise BSOL: −$18.8M
🔻 Grayscale GSOL: −$6.0M
🔻 VanEck VSOL: −$0.7M
But there's an important detail.
Despite the recent withdrawals, cumulative Solana ETF inflows since launch remain strongly positive at approximately $1.55 billion.
So what does this actually mean?
BEARISH CASE:
Continued ETF outflows may signal weakening institutional demand, particularly if SOL loses important technical support levels.
BULLISH CASE:
If outflows slow while SOL holds support and market sentiment improves, the recent weakness could prove temporary.
Three things I'm watching next:
1. Whether ETF outflows continue into the new trading week.
2. SOL's reaction around important support and resistance zones.
3. Whether spot market volume confirms the next directional move.
ETF flows are useful sentiment indicators, but they are not reliable price predictions on their own.
The bigger question: is institutional demand genuinely weakening, or are we witnessing a temporary reset?
What do you think happens next for Solana?
