Starknet explores L1 transition

Starknet, as an L2, is considering transitioning to L1 to control its security migration against quantum/AI risks. It plans post-quantum upgrades by 2027.

$STRK staged a massive rally from its $0.02545 low to hit $0.07162, currently consolidating around $0.06863. However, with the 4H RSI overheated at an extreme 82.21 and top rejection wicks forming, chasing long positions here carries elevated risk. Holding above $0.06377 local support keeps the momentum alive, but losing it signals a deeper cooldown toward $0.05361. Always prioritize strict risk management! 🛡️

INSIGHTS⚡️ STRK is the gas, staking and governance asset sitting under that Bitcoin push. Activity in strkBTC does not automatically become STRK demand. We think the link only holds if fees, staking and sequencer economics actually route value back to the token. A useful rollup and a useful token are related. They are not the same thing. $STRK @Starknet ⚖️🪙 #STRK #Crypto

🤔 Starknet is considering transitioning to an L1 to independently drive quantum-safe upgrades, with the earliest possible implementation in 2027. Eli Ben-Sasson, co-founder and CEO of StarkWare, stated that due to its current status as an L2 relying on Ethereum’s underlying security, Starknet is evaluating multiple options—including transitioning to an L1—to gain autonomous control over the network’s security migration process and address cryptographic risks posed by quantum computing and AI. He noted that Starknet, built on ZK-STARKs, possesses cryptographic agility and has already outlined a roadmap for post-quantum security migration. While Ethereum plans to achieve full quantum resistance on its L1 by the end of 2029, Bitcoin has not made a similar commitment; Starknet expects to implement relevant upgrades as early as 2027.

🚀 $STRK COULD CHANGE ITS PLACE IN THE BLOCKCHAIN STACK. StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson says Starknet is evaluating options including becoming a Layer 1 to advance quantum-security upgrades independently. Related upgrades could arrive as early as 2027. A potential architectural shift, still under evaluation.

Starknet makes sense as a Layer 1: - They built from scratch with a custom language. - They leverage PQ features smoothly and cost-effectively. Will $STRK surpass $SUI?

until now the only way to get STRC exposure on kamino has been the STRCx market, and it's almost always full now you can long dividend yield on @apyx_fi's apyUSD, a token that's currently comprised of around 86% STRC higher leverage at 3.3x USDC borrows at ~1% and a current max loop APY of ~43%

Starknet should become its own L1 with hash-based security at the core. AI is pulling the quantum clock forward (see ecdsa fail). Ethereums answer is end of 2029 and Bitcoin hasnt given one. Starknet could be there by 2027 if it stops waiting for others to move first. so whats post-quantum money?
