US debt crosses $40 trillion

US federal debt has climbed above $40 trillion, with $32 trillion held by the public. Treasury yields hit 24-year highs amid rising deficit and borrowing costs.

If the macro economic side stays like this, I think its quite hard to continue this bull run. Fundamentally it will be hard. Long term can be better if USA wont collapse but I think this kind of debt is worth giving some attention lol. What are your opinions on it? Straight to 92k or go back to 70ks? Either way, there will be solid web3 projects out there. So just find some gems and stick to them. RWA is still my favorite one.

Ray Dalio has issued another warning. While the U.S. continues to run fiscal deficits, demand for U.S. Treasuries from foreign investors is showing signs of weakening. If this trend continues, there is a possibility that a U.S. debt crisis could occur within three years. ――――――――――― The issues facing America have been widely discussed for nearly a decade. I have always believed that the timeline of nations differs from that of individuals and does not always unfold as expected. Rumors have also emerged that Bitcoin could provide a solution to this problem. While the future is uncertain, I believe that when the world is in turmoil, it is precisely the time to prepare and secure “assets of preparedness” to protect yourself and those you care about.

My final post on SS because it's beginning to be too contentious and it's not worth the angst: 1) Let everyone under 50 opt out of SS. 2) Create a temporary corporate tax on companies over 500 employees to fund the gap for those who paid into SS their whole working lives (compensation for helping to ruin retirement by dropping/raiding pensions). 3) Means-test the remaining SS recipients. Only those who would be indigent (homeless, underfed) without it receive benefits. 4) Get rid of state-funded old folks homes (and the cost). 5) End the Federal Reserve system, fractional reserve banking, and back the dollar with a basket of oil and rare earth reserves, bitcoin, and gold. 6) Make Congress approve any foreign military action longer than 30 days. 8) Radically curtail the surveillance state (and associated costs) by moving all intelligence functions under the military and gut the FBI, CIA, and NSA. 9) Make raising the debt limit a 2/3 majority of both Legislative houses, not just the House. 10) Reform bidding in military acquisition and force belt-tightening on the Pentagon (freeze spending at 80% of current levels for 5 years with the stipulation that this money must be earmarked for debt repayment). No more 20-year programs of multi-trillion dollar weapons systems that are obsolete the moment they roll off the assembly line. 11) Create an investment plan for younger people that guarantees a 7% annual return on their money that anyone over 18 can invest in independent of the company they work for, like an annuity (treasuries, but without the debt and inflation), and absent the management fees. 12) Create a legislative plan for sunsetting SS in 18 years. 13) Make it impossible to hire an illegal alien or for them to receive any public benefits, backed up by heavy fines on companies that flout the law. 14) Radically curtail foreign aid. 15) No more bailouts of banks and investment firms. They take on the entire risk. No more too big to fail. 16) Make derivatives illegal. 17) No interest rate higher than 10% to be allowed, with dollar-for-dollar collateral to 100% of the loan. 18) Pare back Medicare and Medicaid. No non-citizen receives benefits. 19) Remove all government funding/guarantees on tuition. 20) Make universities more difficult to matriculate into. That is, raise admission standards. 21) Mandatory government investment in trade schools for younger people. 22) Abolish the IRS and move to an individual flat tax of 10% and live within those means. 23) Abolish all sales tax and property tax on paid-off homes. 24) Abolish the double and triple taxing of money/profits as well as closing and junk fees on first-time homebuyers. 25) ???

TOM LEE ROCKING A GREEN TIE: RISING BOND YIELDS MAY BE “TRANSITORY” @fundstrat argues that the Nasdaq hitting record highs and crypto rallying suggest investors expect the pressure from higher yields to ease. For $ETH, that would mean a recovery getting support from improving financial conditions. The key test is whether bond yields start confirming what he sees in stocks and crypto. The green tie is bullish. Bringing “transitory” out of Powell’s retirement drawer is a bold move.

🏆 TUESDAY RANKING: Which of these three events shook the market the most this week? 1️⃣ US Jobs: Only 29,000 jobs created (vs. 90,000 expected). 2️⃣ Fed Pivot: The probability of a rate hike plummeted from 70% to 18%. 3️⃣ US Yields: The 10-year yield reached its highest level since 2002. 👇 Rank them in order (e.g., 2–1–3) and explain why in one sentence!

The 10 year Treasury just hit 5%. Your eyes are glazing over. Don't let them. Plain English: The U.S. government is the biggest borrower on the planet. It borrows by selling IOUs called Treasuries. The 10 year Treasury is a promise to pay you back in ten years, with interest. Right now, lenders want 5% a year to take that deal. Think about that. The "safest" borrower in the world has to pay up just to get people to lend to it. Why? Because lenders know the dollars they get back in ten years will buy less than the dollars they hand over today. So why should you care? Your house. Mortgage rates tend to move with the 10 year Treasury. When it climbs, mortgage rates often climb too, pushing up your monthly payment. Your car. Same story. Higher rates mean more interest and more money out of your pocket. Your credit card. Debt gets more expensive across the board. Your paycheck. The government's debt keeps growing, and so does the interest expense. As that bill gets bigger, the pressure to borrow even more grows with it. More dollars chasing the same goods and services can mean higher prices for you. You get squeezed from both ends. Borrowing costs go up. Your money's purchasing power goes down. So ask yourself who's taking the real risk here. Is it the guy holding an asset with a fixed supply of 21 million Bitcoin? Or the guy holding dollars issued by a government paying 5% just to keep borrowing? Stack sats. Opt out.

🚨 US Treasury auctions $153B today: $95B in 6-week bills and $58B in 3-year notes, with the 3-year yield already near 4.95%—about 50 bps above the last auction’s stop. Strong demand can cool yields and support stocks and crypto. Weak demand (watch the tail and bid-to-cover) pushes yields higher and pressures risk assets, with the 10-year and 30-year still to come this week. #Treasury #Yields #Bitcoin #Crypto

🚨 HOLY SH*T RAY DALIO JUST CONFIRMED A RECESSION WITHIN 3 YEARS The legendary investor says the U.S. could face a DEBT CRISIS within just 3 years. His warning: exploding debt, massive deficits and rising interest costs are pushing the system toward a breaking point.
