I read the panic news on Zcash ($ZEC) two days ago, did some quick research and I decided the price crash wasn't justified. I bought a big chunk of ZEC at $316. Price is now $418 and looks like it will go considerably higher. My target is around $486-$527 (pictured with gray rectangle). Why didn't I think the price crash was justified? • Zcash’s built-in "turnstile" mechanism verified no additional supply was created. • Bug was fixed and yet people were panicing *after* disclosure. Made no sense. • Protocol is MORE secure than before-- not less. • Furthermore, from a general news standpoint, I have observed that negative news, if not borne out in lasting technical failure, is almost always quickly rebounded from-- within days usually. Note that I will not be holding ZEC (or any altcoin) long-term right now due to the fact that we are in a crypto *bear* market. As such, it's just a short term trade for me. I'll likely sell within the next few weeks/month as BTC rallies in the short term, dragging alts up with it, as BTC often does.

A lot of massive $ZEC short liqs at $500 Impressive strength tbh, not sure it will be able to squeeze that high but pretty funny already how punishing the PA has been

The only profitable move recently was “riding the wave” on Zcash: native, a coin I originally didn’t have much faith in. It seems clear that whether you HODL or trade, assets with strong consensus are simply far more comfortable than those with weak or no consensus. Previously replaced coins like Pepe and Gensyn are still lying flat on the ground,不动如山. Last weekend, I caught the falling knife during the ZEC panic—got stopped out twice in a row, but finally caught it on the third attempt. After a long weekend (Monday was a public holiday in Australia), I returned to find it had performed quite well. Then today, $H crashed hard. I’m not sure whether it was truly hacked or an inside job, but what I don’t understand is why ethereum:0xfdffb411c4a70aa7c95d5c981a6fb4da867e1111 also plummeted?? Is there some connection between these two coins—like sharing the same market maker? Anyone know? Please shed some light! Since this collateral damage seems far-fetched, I also caught a falling knife on Sahara—please hold strong and rebound 🙏

This looks great from my perspective on $NEAR. Slight correction on the markets and immediate bounce upwards and further consolidation. $ZEC shows its strength as well, which means that we're likely going to be seeing more strength across the board. #Bitcoin consolidation = money flows back to the strong runners prior to the correction, which means that I wouldn't be surprised to see assets like $NEAR run back towards the highs in the coming weeks.

The Zcash team finalized the Ironwood upgrade, introducing the Orchard shielded pool to patch a counterfeit vulnerability; $ZEC rebounded over 80% from its intraday low of $252 on June 5. While the technical patch itself is not a new narrative, the market appears to be betting on a brief regulatory window for privacy coins, with the rally driven more by sentiment recovery than fundamental reversal. The privacy sector remains long-term constrained by regulatory gray areas, limiting the sustainability of this rebound.

Helius CEO Turns 'Extremely Bullish' On Zcash Helius CEO Mert Mumtaz (@mert) says he is "extremely bullish" on Zcash $ZEC following its proposed Ironwood upgrade, per Decrypt. The comments come days after a disclosed vulnerability triggered panic across the privacy coin market. Mumtaz said the proposed network changes represent an ambitious response to the issue. Zcash has since recovered roughly $3 billion in market value from recent lows.
