Strategy Bitcoin sale triggers controversy

Strategy sold 32 BTC between May 26 and 31, but the disclosure on June 1 sparked a $200M+ Polymarket dispute over whether the sale met the May 31 deadline.

$GENIUS is facing a strong resistance zone right now.

Price looks heavily exhausted at these levels, and a rejection could trigger a significant correction.

I'm expecting a 60–70%+ pullback if sellers remain in control. 📉

Strategy sold BTC last month but the @Polymarket terms got changed last minute and millions weren't paid out. Users are angry. "It would be like going into a casino and after they dealt you a blackjack hand they change the rules of the game" says @Rob1Ham "I think this is a great marketing opportunity for @Kalshi"

Right now there’s a pretty heated debate going around Crypto Twitter involving MicroStrategy and @Polymarket and some people are calling it a controversial resolution Here’s the situation. The market asked whether MicroStrategy would sell any Bitcoin before the end of May 2026. It later turned out that the company did sell a small amount of BTC (~32 coins) in late May, which shows up in SEC filings and is also supported by on-chain data. Because of that, many traders expected the market to resolve to YES. But @Polymarket ultimately resolved it as NO, pointing to how their resolution rules interpret valid confirmation sources and timing for when information is considered acceptable. That decision sparked backlash, with one side arguing the real-world action is what matters, while the other side says strict rule enforcement and timing are the only things that count. In the end, it became a classic clash between what actually happened and how it qualifies under market rules

#Polymarket faces #SCAM accusations over a $118M bet on whether #Strategy sold #BTC by May 31. Users claim the firm did sell, but Polymarket shifted rule interpretations post-closure and settled it as "No." Critics say traders lost #hundreds of thousands while Polymarket bagged $100k in fees. #MarketUpdate #StockMarket #trading #USA #stocks #Bullish #bearish #TRUMP $Trump #America #DonaldTrump #rates #GlobalTrade #altcoin #altcoins #altseason #coin #coins #token #cryptocurrency #UnitedStates #Bitcoin $BTC #POLY #MSTR $MSTR #HODL

Polymarket changing rules at the last minute is deadass alarming This is so unfortunate. I hope they resolve it soon with some compensation

Permissionless market creation unlocked a whole new world for DeFi. Uniswap proved it back in 2020 by allowing users to create LPs for any token pair. Well, prediction markets were far behind on that, despite lots of attempts from different teams to fix permissionless market creation, it kept failing due to a lack of liquidity and just solving the cold start problem. The UGM structure @trylimitless is the best attempt I've seen so far in solving this issue. They're already ahead on distribution and liquidity, being the biggest PM on Base, with over $1.7B volume just in May and more than 70K active traders. Moreover, they're sharing trading fees with creators on their markets, as it unlocks new revenue opportunities that platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi don't have. Will do a deeper dive on this. Stay tuned!

Market flipped from "will Microstrategy sells their btc before may 31" to "Will polymarket scam their user base? Yes 99% No 1% Place your bets

I have no idea what the right solution is or what will happen here But I know one thing for sure anyone gravedancing and flashing PNLs on the NO here is a dangerous person If you just want to conform to the system and not be willing to improve it, you are a part of the problem. We are far away from a perfect decentralized system, I urge all winners and losers to come together here to make Polymarket better. The PNLs are irrelevant. Nobody cares how much you made. We need prediction markets to be the best they can be. It’ll take all of us.
