Justin Sun challenges WLFI governance

April 16, Justin Sun criticized WLFI's token unlock proposal as coercive, highlighting five issues including indefinite token freezes and anonymous control mechanisms.

Was reading through the new $WLFI governance proposal. Tbh the mechanics here are actually worth unpacking. ~62.3B tokens affected, all pushed into stricter lockups with 2y cliffs + multi-year vesting And up to ~4.5B supply getting removed on opt-in. A combination like this does two things: → reduces immediate sell pressure → replaces uncertainty with a defined release curve After the recent noise, feels like an attempt to shift the conversation back to structure and alignment rather than speculation Still early to judge impact, but this is one of the clearer supply-side frameworks they’ve put forward so far

World Liberty Financial just posted a governance proposal to restructure 62.28 Billion locked $WLFI tokens. Key points: • Up to 10% burn planned • 40.7B tokens to start vesting for founders & team • Tokens were previously locked indefinitely • Comes after recent $75M loan controversy Token unlock + vesting could bring new supply pressure to the market. Execution, timelines, and transparency will decide the reaction. 👀

Trump-backed World Liberty Financial has proposed unlocking over 62 billion WLFI tokens, introducing multi-year vesting schedules for early supporters and insiders. $WLFI

The team has made a decision aligned with long-term investors: 80% of the initial tokens will remain locked for the next two years, and will then be released gradually on a linear basis. To me, this reflects a strong commitment to the long-term sustainability of $WLFI. The focus is clear: manage supply, build value, and execute. Patience and long-term vision will make the difference. Growth will come.

Looking at the new $WLFI governance proposal. 2-year cliff + vesting for early supporters, team and advisors, with optional token burns. IMO: If approved, it should reduce sell pressure and improve long-term alignment.
