A $16 trillion market cap for Bitcoin by 2030?
@ARKInvest’s Director of Research, @LorenzoARK, recently reaffirmed their high-conviction projection targeting a $16T market capitalization for BTC by 2030 (~$750k–$800k per coin), stating that its role as a global store of value and permissionless asset is now fully cemented.
At Everstake, we view this model pragmatically: mathematically viable but requiring an absolute alignment of macro forces.
So, what actually has to happen to hit that $16T mark:
• Absorbing Gold: BTC must capture roughly 50% of gold’s global market share, absorbing ~$7.5T–$8T from precious metals.
• Institutional Capital Shift: Sovereign wealth, pension funds, and corporate treasuries would need to allocate an unprecedented 3% to 5% of their asset base to digital scarcity.
• Sustained 50%+ CAGR: The network must maintain an aggressive compound annual growth rate of 50% to 60%+ every year over a 5-year horizon.
We recognize this is an ultra-bullish macroeconomic scenario requiring a perfect alignment of global factors. However, the exact price targets are ultimately secondary. The most important reality is that the fundamental, structural adoption of Bitcoin is already happening everywhere across the globe and that undeniable institutional integration is the true success.
