agreed, BTC didn't nuke because of a weak bearish narrative (quantum) it nuked because it's been lacking a bullish narrative for 1.5 years

🗞️JUST IN : 💰 Kevin O'Leary says, "I'm still long Bitcoin,” but quantum computing concerns are keeping institutions cautious, limiting allocations to 3% until resolved.

@CoinMarketCap Interesting take, but quantum risk feels overblown for current cycles. Those 4M lost coins have been priced into BTC scarcity narratives for years. Real structural shifts happening in cross-chain liquidity flows right now deserve more attention than theoretical quantum threats.

BIP 360, merged into Bitcoin's repository on February 11, 2026, proposes Pay-to-Merkle-Root (P2MR) outputs to support quantum-safe signatures like Dilithium, enabling gradual upgrades without network forks. Bitcoin's "Q-Day" preparations outpace traditional systems like 401(k)s, which still rely on vulnerable RSA/ECDSA, highlighting cryptocurrency's edge in adapting to quantum threats estimated by IBM to arrive by 2035.

Man, everyone is only thinking about the consequence. The DEV community definitely has the capability to launch a BIT within a year—though this heavily depends on urgency. The problem no one measures is market-related! Bitcoin isn’t the only one using ECC! Ethereum uses it, banks use it, even the HTTPS protocol on the internet uses it. #BTC is the least of the problems. The day a public university publishes that it has a quantum computer capable of breaking ECDSA within a year, the GLOBAL financial system could collapse. It’s not technical—it’s pure FUD!
