Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross: Sam Altman once said he'd pick a billion monthly active users over the strongest model. Distribution over capability. "Distribution ultimately was a stronger moat, a stronger advantage and differentiation than having the strongest model weights." For a hot moment, OpenAI had the biggest user base but not the best model. "Now, fortunately, after that code red - GPT 5.5 is, broadly (as far as I can tell) the strongest model - and also, they have the strongest distribution." Note: This was recorded pre Fable. Emad Mostaque: "The US government realized a year or two ago that AI is key to full spectrum dominance." That's a military concept - superiority across air, land, sea. Intelligence is now a vector there too. Europe never had that impetus. "Europe has never had full spectrum dominance." So they regulate for compliance instead. The US decided it cannot be left behind. FT @PeterDiamandis @DaveBlundin @EMostaque @SalimIsmail @AlexWG.

John Gillen: Crypto thought Wall Street would get "absolutely trucked by DeFi"... Wall Street thought crypto would "scam itself into oblivion." Neither happened... What's actually playing out, according to BlackRock's head of digital assets: "a hybridization between these two." John argues this isn't a final state, but a progression. The strong crypto thesis still wins, just not overnight. "It's a long progression of society from legacy systems" toward something more open and secure. Dave Blundin: The AI economy might not need the old economy at all. Historically, banks would say Anthropic and OpenAI can't become huge until they've delivered value to legacy businesses. But that might be completely wrong. "If Dario wakes up after his IPO and says 'I want to spend a hundred billion dollars to solve these 10 diseases,' he can just spend it right into the agent economy. "And it would have nothing to do with JP Morgan... nothing to do with Main Street." A self-contained AI economy is forming. FT @PeterDiamandis @DaveBlundin @EMostaque @SalimIsmail @AlexWG.

The New York Times ran a piece saying @ElonMusk only hit 19% of his goals set 15 years ago... Peter Diamandis: "Who in the New York Times is setting any audacious goals and doing anything worthwhile?" In 2015 alone, he hit 75% of his goals. He's still building Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, xAI. "He's always directionally right. His timing may be off a little bit." "Shocked. Shocked that the paper of record is launching an ideologically motivated attack against the greatest technologist of Earth." FT @PeterDiamandis @DaveBlundin @EMostaque @SalimIsmail @AlexWG. Galaxy $GLXY holds a big stack of crypto on its books and runs trading and lending desks for major institutions. On top of that, it's turning an old bitcoin mining site into an AI data center, with a billion dollars a year in rent already signed. It's the slow burn of our PRO analysts' picks so far, but it still managed to move 34% while the majority of crypto assets have bled. 👇

Raoul Pal: Crypto goes to $100T by 2036. We're at $2.7T today. (That's $93T of wealth yet to be created.) For the first time ever, anyone with an internet connection can invest in the infrastructure layer that changes all of humanity. "That's more wealth than all of the tech tycoons, all of the real estate tycoons, all of the Chinese billionaires..." "All of wealth added together, pretty much." Every AI system on earth runs on memory chips, and Micron is the last big maker still standing in the US. While demand for its chips went vertical, the market kept pricing it like a sleepy commodity stock. ... until it didn't. Our PRO analysts called Micron before it moved +168%. 👇
