Market Watch | Oct. 29 (ET) 1/3 — Market Structure The indexes fell, but most stocks rose. Thursday was a rotation away from crowded technology exposure, not an indiscriminate retreat from equities. S&P 500 -0.30% | Nasdaq -1.38% | Dow -0.25% | Russell 2000 +1.01% | SOX -1.42%. Roughly four in five S&P 500 stocks advanced. Alphabet's earnings-driven plunge weighed on the cap-weighted benchmarks, while small caps and health care outperformed. Software, memory and AI-linked chips faced selling; drugmakers and payments offered a contrasting earnings story. Lower yields helped the wider market, but did not repair concerns about AI spending, cash conversion and demanding expectations. Amazon and Sandisk extended that test after the close: strong cloud or memory growth did not prevent negative share-price reactions. The macro split was equally important: Q3 GDP accelerated to 3.4% annualized, yet September real consumer spending was essentially flat and core PCE inflation was still 3.1% YoY.

$MRVL opened -12.6% on a report it's in advanced talks to buy Lumentum. $LITE +4.7%. Bloomberg reports a deal could be announced as soon as next week. Acquirer sells off, target pops: MRVL ~$220 vs $251.65 close, LITE ~$957. How to express a view with perps: • Think the sell-off overprices the deal risk? 1/3 | BBX WEEK AHEAD — OCT 26–30, 2026 THE FED DECIDES. BIG TECH FACES THE AI TEST. One of October's most consequential weeks for stocks, bonds and crypto is here. After a volatile stretch for AI stocks and a surge in oil prices, Wall Street faces two major questions: Will the Fed keep inflation risks under control? And can Big Tech justify its massive AI investments? FIVE KEY CATALYSTS (ET): • Oct 27: $HOOD earnings • Oct 28: FOMC rate decision + $MSFT and $GOOGL earnings • Oct 29: US Q3 GDP + September PCE inflation • Oct 29: $AMZN, $COIN and $INTC earnings • Oct 30: US Employment Cost Index Last week's semiconductor selloff raised fresh concerns about AI valuations and financing costs. Meanwhile, elevated oil prices are complicating the inflation outlook. 2/3 — BIG TECH EARNINGS: After Meta's $34.91B quarterly CapEx, attention shifts to Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon. Cloud growth matters — but cash flow and returns on AI investment may matter even more. 3/3 — MACRO & CROSS-ASSET: The Fed meets Wednesday, followed by GDP and PCE on Thursday. Treasury yields, oil, the dollar and BTC will offer critical clues about how markets price growth and inflation. The next market move may depend on two things: the cost of money and the return on AI capital. One week. Multiple catalysts. Global markets in focus.

1/3 | BBX WEEKLY MARKET WATCH — OCT 19–23, 2026 AI STUMBLES. OIL SURGES. MARKETS ROTATE. Wall Street ended another volatile week as AI investment concerns, rising energy prices and shifting sector leadership reshaped the market. US MARKETS — WEEKLY PERFORMANCE • S&P 500: −0.47% • Nasdaq Composite: −0.71% • Dow Jones: +0.41% • Russell 2000: +2.00% • Semiconductor Index (SOX): −3.21% The divergence tells the story. Small caps gained 2%, while the Nasdaq fell and semiconductors remained under pressure. Thursday delivered the week's biggest shock: the SOX plunged 6.72% in a single session as investors questioned the economics of massive AI infrastructure spending. Meanwhile, Brent crude surged 6.2% for the week to $116.72/bbl, adding another layer of inflation risk. Yet Treasury yields fell over the week as investors sought safety amid equity volatility. The bigger picture: Investors aren't abandoning equities altogether. They're becoming more selective about where growth, cash flow and investment returns justify the price. 2/3 — AI & STOCKS: Meta and Lam Research suffered sharp weekly losses despite strong business demand. SpaceX's wireless ambitions also triggered opposite moves in telecom operators and infrastructure stocks. 3/3 — MACRO & CROSS-ASSET: Oil surged, Treasury yields fell, business activity stayed resilient, and consumer confidence remained near record lows. Strong growth. Rising costs. A market rethinking where the real returns will come from.

META'S EARNINGS RALLY JUST REVERSED. 👀 After initially gaining 3–4% in after-hours trading, $META fell more than 5% in early Thursday trading. The earnings weren't weak: • Revenue: $64.6B (+26% YoY) • Quarterly CapEx: $34.91B • Free cash flow: −$2.12B • 2026 CapEx outlook: $135B–$145B ONCHAIN CHECK — HYPERLIQUID At 9:31 AM ET: • META perp: $661.27 • Open interest: $114.3M • 24h volume: $242.6M • Hourly funding: +0.0006% The onchain market reflected the equity selloff, while funding remained only modestly positive. The bigger question: How much AI growth is enough to justify this level of spending? Wall Street initially welcomed the earnings. Now investors are reassessing the cost of building Meta's AI future.
