$ZEC may honestly be one of the most difficult assets in crypto to do technical analysis on. I can say that with conviction as I've done almost daily analysis on it now for 4 years!
Rarely have I seen an asset violate normal structural expectations as frequently as Zcash does.
It constantly overshoots levels, sweeps liquidity, produces violent wicks, breaks structures prematurely, and then snaps right back.
This 4H rising wedge is the larger structure I’m watching now.
And despite the recent volatility, price isn’t even close to reaching the upper rail yet.
Right now ZEC is still trading in the lower portion of the wedge and battling through a major resistance/supply area around current price.
That’s important because simply seeing another aggressive green move does not mean this structure has resolved bullishly.
There is still a lot of work for price to do before it even reaches the upper boundary of the wedge.
And with Zcash, I’m especially cautious about assuming any breakout means something until I see acceptance and follow-through.
For me, the current micro structure remains simple:
- Rising wedge.
- Major resistance overhead.
- Extreme volatility inside the pattern.
- No breakout confirmation.
Zcash might be the hardest asset in crypto to analyze technically because it constantly tests the limits of what you normally expect price structure to do.
That’s exactly why I continue focusing on the larger structure, a one year macro rising wedge, instead of reacting emotionally to every 10–20% move.
