Crypto may have just 2 years of regulatory tailwinds left, and with Congress likely gridlocked after the midterms, it all comes down to regulators "We do have midterms today. We're probably going to have a very mixed bag." "I think a lot of people believe Democrats definitely get the House, maybe not the Senate. Either way, we're going to have gridlock, and that means that the only path forward for crypto is probably through the regulators." "So we will see how difficult the Democrats potentially make life for Paul Atkins and Michael Selig over at the CFTC, and if it's even difficult for them to make rules moving forward." "I think the general sentiment right now is that we have roughly two years to ride the regulatory tailwinds before things could get ugly again." "So all of these moves from our regulators are really, really, really important."

Bitcoin at $1.6 million by 2036? Bitwise's Ryan Rasmussen on why Bitcoin could be the decade's best-performing asset: $2T deficits, central banks buying gold at a record pace, and institutions just getting started. "If you stack up our forecast against some of the other forecasts, we end up right in the middle range looking 10 years out." "Now you're seeing that JPMorgan is putting out capital market assumptions for Bitcoin. They think it's going to be the best performing asset over the next decade, outperforming stocks, bonds, alternative assets." "The long-term trends that move Bitcoin higher, in our view, aren't slowing down. They're accelerating. The US continues to spend at an incredible rate, $2 trillion deficits. Governments around the world are doing the same thing." "Central banks are purchasing gold at record pace. Institutional investors are beginning to allocate in earnest to Bitcoin. They're just at the beginning of that journey. They control hundreds of trillions of dollars."

Strategy's weekly balancing act: selling MSTR, buying a little Bitcoin and buying back more STRC "They continue to buy either no Bitcoin each week or very small amounts. 811 Bitcoin for 65.5 million at a cost basis of 80,846 is basically a rounding error. What continues to be interesting is how they do it and what they do with STRC." "They sold over a million MSTR common shares. Those sales generated 164 million in net proceeds. Strategy allocated 65 million of those to Bitcoin purchases. The remaining 98.5 million was allocated to their USD cash pile. But of course then they bought 2,092,035 STRC preferred shares for 208.2 million." "This is a very, very complex machine right now. They have a very complex balance sheet, and every single week they have to do some gymnastics to support all of the assets, usually at the very small expense of MSTR shareholders." "Last week STRC was back to 99.99, almost back at par. So the buybacks of STRC clearly have been working."
