October at Derive: ➤ V3 Live. Launched with Ethereum custody, ZK proofs, sub-millisecond matching and no-code vaults. ➤ Governance. Submitted a CFTC comment letter on conflicts and affiliations. Proposed expansion into US-regulated derivatives markets through governance. ➤ Volume. $3.47B month to date, including $2.94B in options and ~$4B open interest. ➤ Trading. Added RFQ Price Protection, PUMP and VVV markets as well as LIT as collateral. ➤ HYPE. Integrating Elysium by @Kinetiq_xyz. Launched Road to Expiry with Kinetiq, a HYPE options contest with a ~$40k prize pool. Lowered margin and more borrowing power against HYPE and kHYPE.

V3 is running smoothly, and our team keeps shipping improvements. Here are three updates traders can expect this week: • Lower options margin. You can trade BTC, ETH, and other supported options with less collateral in standard-margin accounts, leaving more available for your next trade. • More capital-efficient collateral. You can borrow more against $HYPE and $kHYPE in eligible accounts. • More collateral types. We'll add $LIT as collateral to back supported altcoin markets.

FOMC is 11 hours out, and BTC options are calm. Vol is fairly priced, and puts are no longer rich, so protection costs about normal. The market expects a move of about ±2%, roughly $79k–$82k by tomorrow. For a move that small, spreads may be better value than buying options outright. Chart by @derivativemonky

We're working with @lifiprotocol to make it easier to fund your Derive account across chains. You find an options trade you want to put on. Your funds are on another network. Before you can trade, you're working out what to swap and how to bridge. That's why we've integrated. We want users to spend less time arranging transfers before they can trade, and we want builders to have a simpler path for bringing new users onto their applications.
