It's not 'hope for misery.' It's 'hope the project survives by shedding the casino players.' Different thing. The burn is the immune response, not the punishment. No hard feelings, take care.

I used to think FCMP++ and Carrot would save us. They won't. They hedge old txs, not your spend keys. Calling Monero's quantum risk FUD is a cope. There, I said it. Look, I’m no expert, just passionate enough to look past the hype. The eggheads call it "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" because the ledger is being saved today to be unmasked tomorrow. When the tech matures, a quantum drain will force a chaotic scramble nobody's planned for. You can't out-hold a broken curve. These mammonites hoarding it deserve what's coming anyway. Think of the quantum break as the system's immune system, a natural purge of the chazzers. I can't lie, the schadenfreude is going to be delicious. Enjoy the wipeout. Keep your float small, use it as P2P, and stop hoarding it like a dickhead. Call me paranoid all you want, Dilligaf. 🤟

So the opt-out is: stop using Zcash 🤌 That's a Hobson's choice at best and an ultimatum at worst. Neither one is "voluntary." Also, wrong chain. The privacy chain with no dev tax is Monero: private by default on every tx, 100% of the block reward to miners, funding by voluntary CCS instead of a protocol levy 😘 If your own argument points people to an exit, at least name the one that does privacy better. 🫰

Asking a customer to justify their own money isn't a question, it's an investigation. It's the state getting, through private intermediaries, what it could never get directly without a warrant. That's procedural fairness bypassed: no judge, no probable cause, no appeal, just a ToS demand and a locked account if you refuse. Sure, legally, a ToS is a voluntary contract, and you chose that bank or fintech. But that's exactly the point: we shouldn't need them. True P2P electronic cash means no intermediary to conscript, no terms to accept, no one to ask. Let's not normalize the alternative, and call out the parasites every chance we get.

I know this isn't the standard narrative, but let's stop pretending a highly regulated stablecoin isn't just an outsourced CBDC. Same dystopia, different wrapper: • KYC required to breathe • Remote kill-switch active • Backed by infinite US debt The state just outsourced the dirty work to avoid a congressional hearing. They hold the leash, the private issuer does the bidding. CBDC = State-controlled Stablecoin = Proxy-controlled Same final boss.

Kid: Dad, I'm considering building a privacy coin. Dad: Optional privacy or private by default? Kid: Privacy is a feature, not a default. Dad: And your users are exit liquidity, not people. Kid: We're compliant by design. Dad: You built a honeypot and called it innovation. Kid: No dad, it's like Monero but legal. Dad: It's like Monero if Monero was a fed. Kid: I'm pitching VCs. Big money. I'm thinking venture capital. Dad: And where's your moola come from, huh? Kid: Pre-mine. Founder's tax. Dad: Pre-mined, VC-backed, audit-friendly privacy? Kid: No dad, private. Regulator-friendly privacy. Dad: You're not building a privacy coin, son. You're a compliance officer with carry, backing narcs. Sit down.

Dad: That's enough out of you. Off you go. Help your mom with my sammich. Hot peppers. Not optional. Capisce?

Exactly. Turning patriotism into blind obedience is how we lose our way. "If patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel, it is not merely because evil deeds may be performed in the name of patriotism, but because patriotic fervor can obliterate moral distinctions altogether." - Ralph Barton Perry

The whole XMR smear is a decoy. They need something to point at while the real crims move dirty money through "transparent" chains and regulated rails. The rule is simple: if they can take a cut, it's legal. If they can't, it's a threat. My friends they don't want to stop crime. They want to monopolize the flow and skim off the top.
