The 10Y Treasury yield has cooled off. The trend hasn't. • It went from around 5.3% in early October to just above 5% now • But the monthly average has climbed almost nonstop since February • And the drop came with a tech selloff. That's money hiding in Treasuries, not risk appetite coming back For Bitcoin, long-term rates are still a headwind.

Futures price a second Fed hike by December. Bitcoin's last hiking cycle is a useful reference. • Mar–Dec 2022, 7 hikes: BTC −57% • Dec 2022–Jul 2023, 4 more hikes: BTC +65% • Since the Sept 16 hike: BTC +8% Hikes alone didn't decide it. Bitcoin rallied through the second half of the last cycle while the Fed was still hiking. Long term expectations are what drives the big trends.

A year after the October 2025 peak, Bitcoin is still about a third below it. • Peak: $126K intraday high on Oct 6, 2025 • Low: $58K on July 1, 2026, a 54% drawdown • Now ~$83K: up about 43% from the low, still about 34% below the peak The rebound from the low is substantial but there is still a long way to the all-time high.
