Honestly, not sure how long I keep working in crypto but certainly can’t stop while TRUMP>GNO https://t.co/IWws2fdqRy

It should now be abundantly clear that ETH on Ethereum L1 is a very different beast from stablecoins like USDC and USDT, or ETH on e.g. Arbitrum. It is time to ask really hard questions: Which “beast” do people really want, and when? And how much capacity should there be to move instantly between them? Clearly, we still want strongly censorship-resistant assets like ETH and Bitcoin. But in many cases, having an entity that can intervene in the event of a hack can be a positive. However, the way that power is exercised can feel arbitrary. Is Paolo asleep? Do you have a direct line to Jermey so suddenly they block without court order. I think it would be good to have assets and rollups that offer an additional layer of protection, but under clear, transparent, consistently applied rules that protect smaller users too, not just the well-connected.

The fact that Tether is regularly able to freeze large amounts of funds during hacks shows that these hacks are still performed by humans. AI agents will crush those cat-and-mouse games easily.

Let’s say we could simulate a human. Should we do it? If yes, should we let them know they live in a simulation? Would it be unethical to eventually stop the simulation? And again, should we let them know?

This made my heart stop for a second. But it is just about an “ingredient” of the ECDSA function (the seed) that used to be a mystery, causing speculation. Now the mystery has been solved, and it turns out to be completely harmless. Fun read 👇

.@gnosischain will be the first of many EEZ production chains. This means that if you deploy on Gnosis, every Ethereum user is a potential user of your dapp, and your contracts can directly interact with any other Ethereum contract. All while having fast blocks and cheap gas.

Has the internet made people happier? Would you prefer to live in a world without it? Think about it for a minute.

Bridges, payment providers and CEXs should count attestations instead of using a fixed delay. Under normal network conditions, Ethereum get to to quasi-finality within 1 block. We've updated the @gnosischain bridge - now bridging takes only seconds! https://t.co/LSMpmdr5no

For ETH to offset staking issuance it needs to burn ~$1000 per block. With 200m gas limit -> 100m average gas consumed that would be $1 for 100k gas.

L2s are shutting down because being useful requires costly integrations: oracles, liquidity, stablecoins… With EEZ, everything on Ethereum is also available on your L2 out of the box - so L2s can focus on their core business!
