.@o1_exchange has finally gone live with staking What Jerry Pan hinted at is now working. Stake O and you receive wstO, with a 0% deposit/redeem fee TVL is $20.39K on day one, so it's still very early Staking could be an answer to the airdrop concerns, specifically for long-term holders. Let's see if holders actually stake

Over the last 30 days, $Basecat and $DRB have been moving in almost the same rhythm Both dropped after October 12, bottomed out around the 26th and are now trying to recover a bit But there's a big gap in 24-hour volume. "Basecat" did about $2M, while "DRB" did just $287k On @coinbase , volume is about $500k for Basecat and $100k for DRB My question if Basecat's creator has received around $573k in fees, why isn't any of it going into a buyback or a campaign? Hey @grok, you have money, so why not push $DRB ? Do something, guys

.@base is still leading the FX DEX sector in monthly volume In the first month of 2024, FX volume on Base was just $500K. Last September, it reached $411M, representing an increase of around 822x Base alone now accounts for 54% of the entire sector's market share Solana took the lead in this sector for a few months in 2025. But since June 2025, Base has maintained its dominance Currently, "25+ local currencies" are live on Base. This means coverage has expanded alongside volume, not just a few trading pairs Source: Blockworks

.@base DEX volume over the past 24 hours is $632M, putting it in the top 3 But where that volume is coming from is the interesting part →BTC-USD pair: $90.6M, the highest across all chains →ETH-USD pair: $220M →FX volume: $14.3M, again, Base leads all chains →Tokenized equities: $67.6M But the memecoin sector is even more interesting. Out of Solana’s $2.1B volume, $616M came from memecoins alone. Meanwhile, memecoin volume on Base’s DEX was just $4.3M Base’s volume is coming from BTC, ETH, FX and tokenized assets, not memecoin hype Because while memecoins account for ~29% of Solana’s volume, they make up less than 1% of Base’s volume The two chains are driven by completely different sources of volume Source: @Blockworks

Blockchain is too slow and too expensive A few years ago, this criticism was valid. But not anymore On @base a single transfer now costs a fraction of a cent. Block times are coming down to 200ms, while still retaining Ethereum’s security, speed and low costs The real question is no longer “Is blockchain fast enough?” The question is “Which setup is right for our needs?” Payments, supply chains, and tokenized funds all have different requirements We can now see these use cases happening on Base through tokenized stocks, lending (Aave, Morpho), stablecoin payments, and agent payments (with 138M+ transactions on x402 alone) If your understanding of blockchain was shaped in 2018, it’s time to update it

USDC dominates AI agent payments via x402 Monthly active senders reached 31.5k for USDC on @base, 9K on Algorand & 1.5K on Solana Across all tracked assets & chains, the total is up 147% over the past 30 days to 42.7K https://t.co/FE7GBltQeQ

Block time from 2s → 200ms That means 5 actual canonical blocks per second, not just Flashblocks preconfirmations Solana’s slot time is currently ~217ms. @base is now getting close to that speed while remaining EVM-compatible

.@aave 's Equities Hub launched on @base on September 25, 2026 As of October 20, around $10.37M worth of "tokenized Mag7" stocks has been deposited here. Against this collateral, $4.62M in USDC loans has already been taken And 3 out of every 4 borrowers coming here are new Aave users on Base Currently, total borrows in "Aave’s" core market on Base stand at $374.90M, compared to which the Equities Hub accounts for around 1.2% That means it’s still at a very early stage. New users are coming in, and supply deposits have already started building up
