The crypto market is currently heavily driven by macro factors: Tightening interest rate expectations, continued outflows from ETFs, and overall pressure on risk assets have caused BTC to consolidate around $78,000 without achieving a directional breakout. The outcome of tomorrow’s midterm elections is a critical milestone that will determine the direction and pace of crypto regulation over the next year. Additionally, this week’s U.S. employment and inflation data will further influence market perceptions of the Fed’s policy path. Until macro conditions become clearer, volatility may continue to compress before expanding again. #BTC #Macro

Great infrastructure is never flashy. The settlement layer has no memes and nothing to scroll through, but every market ultimately depends on it. @cancore_io has been steadily building this in Canton, taking it one step at a time, not rushing to tell a story. With this funding round, they should be able to keep walking this path—congratulations.

If you could travel back twenty years, here are the opportunities you shouldn’t miss: In 2006, buy ten properties in Nanshan, Shenzhen with 0% down payment, sell them in early 2008, and buy them back by year-end—holding until just before this year’s Spring Festival. With property prices rising tenfold, a 10% down payment becomes a hundredfold return. In 2007, buy stocks like Hangxiao Steel Structure—rising tenfold in six months. After the 2008 crash, move to U.S. markets and buy Netflix, then Tesla. In 2008, buy Bitcoin and hold until early 2014—a thousandfold gain. Alternatively, make an angel investment in founders of companies that later went public on U.S. exchanges—also a thousandfold return. In 2013, short the Japanese yen. In 2014, short the Russian ruble and crude oil with 100x leverage. In 2014, bet on underdog outcomes during the World Cup (e.g., Netherlands defeating Spain, Brazil drawing with Mexico)—you could achieve a hundredfold return by the group stage. After the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect launched, rotate from large-cap stocks to growth stocks like Baofeng—accumulating hundredfold gains over two or three cycles. In 2015, use leverage to short stock index futures during the market crash—again, returns of tenfold or more.

Geopolitical risks have intensified on the macro level. On Friday, Trump made remarks in Florida, suggesting there could be another "Epic Fury" after the midterm elections, which the market interpreted as a signal that short-term tensions won’t ease and that further escalation remains a risk in the medium term. Bitcoin dropped over 2% today, while ETH, XRP, and SOL fell 3–4%. After briefly reaching $85,000 two weeks ago, it has now retreated to around $80,000, marking a cumulative decline of more than 5%. What happens next will depend on whether tensions truly escalate after the November midterms.

Two things to watch over the next two weeks: The FOMC meeting on the 28th–29th is likely to hold rates steady, but pay close attention to the dot plot and economic projections—if they hint at a possible additional 50 bps hike in December, markets could tighten up again. Also, earnings season for U.S. stocks is underway, with Tesla and NVIDIA releasing results this week. BTC has historically shown strong correlation with these tech stocks; if any major disappointments emerge, sentiment is likely to follow.

U.S. September CPI annualized at 3.7%, slightly higher than expected and up from last month’s 3.4%. After gradually rising from 2.4% at the start of the year, it remains stubbornly elevated. Core CPI also exceeded expectations, with a monthly increase of 0.3%. Markets are now pricing in additional Fed rate hikes ahead, with growing speculation that another move could come before year-end. For crypto, expectations for rate cuts and improved liquidity are being pushed further into the future. Prices dropped following the data release—another healthy correction to shake out weak holders.

SUPRO’s first Vault has officially launched, and DeepChain has also published a report. In simple terms: by depositing USDT on BNB Chain, your funds will enter a private shipping credit vault that supports shipowners in securing short-term loans backed by “signed charter contracts or receivable freight payments”—meaning contracts are already signed, but payment is still en route. This is not tokenizing the ships themselves. The base yield target for the Vault is approximately 8% APY (from borrower interest). Early participants are eligible for a limited-time ecosystem incentive, bringing the combined target APY up to around 15%. There are also points and referral mechanisms—inviting friends may further increase your incentive share. Note that incentives have time limits and staking requirements; they are not permanently this high. Please stay updated with official announcements. Unlike many DeFi yield farms, the underlying asset here is verifiable shipping cash flow: shipowners repay loan interest using revenue collected from their receivables. Withdrawals are not instant and typically follow a process: request → settlement → claim (targeting approximately T+7). Borrowers undergo KYB verification, and in case of default, offline collection measures will be pursued. Such risks are inherent in any credit lending. @Suprofinance is suitable for those with idle USDT who are comfortable with credit risk and non-instant redemptions. For more details, please conduct your own research. Only participate if you find it suitable—DYOR.

Pudgy Penguins, from the brink of death to now, has focused on just one thing: it didn’t obsess over NFT speculation—it turned its character into a sellable IP. Launched in July 2021 with 8,888 Pudgy Penguins at 0.03 ETH each, all sold out in 19 minutes, with prices later surging a hundredfold. But when the team failed to deliver on its promises, the community revolted and voted out the founders, nearly killing the project. In April 2022, Luca Netz, with a background in e-commerce and toys, bought the entire IP for 750 ETH (~$2.5 million). He wasn’t interested in on-chain hype—he saw value in the penguin character itself. Immediately, he launched plush toys and collectibles, securing shelf space at Walmart and Target, allowing everyday consumers to buy them without needing to understand NFTs. Viral videos and memes pushed it further into mainstream culture. By late 2024, it launched $PENGU, airdropping tokens to existing holders, transforming the project from a pure NFT collection into a tokenized ecosystem. Today, it’s more like a global cartoon IP—selling physical goods while maintaining its token, heading down a path similar to Hello Kitty. While most NFT projects are still making empty promises, Pudgy Penguins is already making money offline—that’s likely why it survived.

Institutional outflows continue. On October 8, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced another net outflow of approximately $244 million, following a large outflow on the 7th—marking two consecutive days of withdrawals. This time, the main outflow came from Fidelity’s FBTC, with around $197 million exiting in a single day. ARKB withdrew about $20 million, BITB roughly $18 million, and GBTC approximately $8 million. BlackRock’s IBIT saw a much smaller outflow of only about $5.5 million, significantly lighter than the previous day. The only ETF with inflows that day was Franklin’s EZBC, at roughly $4.7 million. Combined, the two-day outflows exceed $700 million—until this capital flight stops, the trend remains concerning.

It was rare for a meme coin to lend and borrow on its own, using its tokens to borrow stablecoins. The demand right after launch has been so strong that the limit has already been reached—new pools are likely to follow.
