I think Ansem has spent the last few cycles scamming people but I’ll give him one thing: his business model requires being very fucking good at finding the next narrative before everyone else 🧙‍♂️ and unfortunately I think he’s onto something with NFTs. At @fairmint we’re using NFTs for equity certificates, giving each one its own identity, history and rules without needing a separate system for ownership and settlement. NFTs as financial infrastructure is a much more interesting rabbit hole than another JPEG cycle.

Pretty good news for tokenized stocks imo once you’re moving actual securities and money around, DvP becomes hard to avoid… Canton was built around these financial workflows from day 1, while Solana is now adding them as this market grows. And I’m totally fine with both approaches tbh because my thesis as always been finance won’t run on one infra. Btw it’s interesting to see everyone slowly converge on the same needs: atomic settlement, privacy, and eventually having the actual ownership record onchain too.

What a week for @CantonNetwork • Lloyds + Visa settled with stablecoins • SocGen moved on tokenized collateral • Titan testnet went live • Temple crossed $1B • Fairmint opened in Times Square 🗽 TradFi, trading, collateral, payments, all moving at once my week 40 recap👇 https://t.co/vyh9w6zjgI

Great to see DTCC pushing for more choice in how assets can settle. Stablecoins, tokenized deposits, asset for asset… whichever path the market chooses, the ownership record still has to keep up.
