Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, is signaling a potential major crypto rally ahead.
He points to a possible $572B liquidity wave coming from the U.S. Treasury driven by a drawdown of the Treasury General Account and expanded debt buybacks. According to Hayes, this could act as a form of “stealth stimulus,” injecting fresh cash into the financial system.
His breakdown:
• ~$301B from TGA drawdown
• ~$271B from buyback programs
➡️ Total potential liquidity: ~$572B
Hayes believes this influx could offset the Fed’s quantitative tightening and create strong tailwinds for risk assets especially Bitcoin. In such a scenario, he suggests BTC could retest all-time highs and potentially move toward the $100K level, particularly if short positions get squeezed.
Liquidity drives markets and this could be the next major catalyst to watch.
