Prediction markets have officially overtaken crypto at Robinhood. Robinhood made $156 million from event contracts in Q2, compared with $100 million from crypto trading. Crypto revenue fell 38% year-on-year. Event-contract revenue jumped more than 10-fold. Retail speculation is not disappearing. It is moving to a new product. #Crypto #PredictionMarkets

A company built from Celsius Mining’s bankruptcy assets has completed its Nasdaq debut. Ionic Digital now trades as IOND, giving thousands of former Celsius creditors a liquid market for shares they received during the restructuring. It opened at $50, below Nasdaq’s $53 reference price, before recovering during the session. Ionic still mines Bitcoin, but its bigger bet is now AI and high-performance-computing infrastructure. Celsius collapsed. Its mining operation survived, pivoted—and made it to Wall Street. #Bitcoin #Crypto

America’s biggest derivatives exchange is suing its own regulator to stop crypto perpetual futures. CME says the CFTC wrongly classified Kalshi’s Bitcoin perps as futures rather than swaps, allowing a new competitor to operate under lighter rules. The CFTC says it is opening the market to regulated innovation. CME says it is ignoring the law. This is not really a fight about terminology. It is a fight over who controls the next generation of 24/7 trading. #Bitcoin #Crypto

Bitcoin has dropped below $63,500 as Asia’s AI-stock sell-off turns ugly. South Korea’s Kospi fell as much as 10%, triggering trading curbs as Samsung and SK Hynix were heavily sold. Bitcoin is now around $63,383, down roughly 3% from the previous close. BTC held firm while Nvidia fell yesterday. That resilience has now cracked. With the Fed decision tomorrow, this is a bad time for markets to rediscover fear. #Bitcoin #Crypto

Japan is considering loosening its 2x cap on leveraged crypto trading. Senior ruling-party lawmaker Seiji Kihara says the current limit is too restrictive and is hurting liquidity and price discovery. Japan has spent years building one of the strictest crypto markets in the world. Now it appears to be asking whether it squeezed the life out of it. No timetable yet—and higher leverage means higher liquidation risk—but this would be a major shift. #Crypto #Japan

Michael Saylor teased another Bitcoin move. Strategy bought nothing. The company has now gone 5 straight weeks without buying BTC, while selling $544.5 million of MSTR shares and lifting its cash reserve to $3.75 billion. Strategy still holds 843,775 BTC, but the priority right now is clearly liquidity—not accumulation. Saylor’s Sunday chart was a tease. Monday’s filing was the truth. Bitcoin is currently around $65,017, up roughly 0.94% from the previous close. #Bitcoin #Strategy

Decentralised storage firm Storj Labs has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after raising roughly $35 million. Storj says its network and customer services will continue, while it restructures “legacy obligations.” It also wants token holders to share ownership of the rebuilt company—but that still needs creditor and court approval. STORJ is trading near $0.062, down roughly 16% over 24 hours. The network may keep running. The company behind it is still bankrupt. That distinction matters. #STORJ #Crypto

The SEC has put DeFi vault managers on notice: some may already be running investment funds without the registrations that normally come with them. Around $8.75 billion now sits in curated vaults, where named firms decide how user deposits are deployed. Putting asset management inside a smart contract does not magically stop it being asset management. The code may be decentralised—the investment decisions often are not. #DeFi #Crypto

WEMIX has been hacked again. An attacker seized control of its WEMIX$ contract, minted 5.23 million tokens without authorisation, then converted part of them into $724,198 in USDC.e and moved the funds across Ethereum and BNB Chain. Bridges and affected trading services have been frozen while wallets are traced. WEMIX$ is now around $0.0107—roughly 98.9% below its intended $1 peg. Losing an owner key is not some clever DeFi exploit. It is the digital equivalent of handing someone the keys to the mint. #WEMIX #Crypto

Bitcoin is back below $65,000 as oil, inflation fears and falling tech stocks hit crypto. Meanwhile: BlackRock and Coinbase back a $15M Bitcoin security fund. The Clarity Act fight intensifies. https://t.co/7f9Bw0d2XH https://t.co/8PAD3Yq12u
