a week ago, a couple of my mutuals reached out to me in the DMs to ask for tips on page management i shared some things that have been working for me as an smm, but i completely forgot to make a post about it one of them got back to me today to say the tips have been working perfectly for him so, i thought to share some of what i shared with them here first off, before taking over any brand’s account, the first thing i do is audit the page you need to understand what the brand is about, who it’s trying to attract, what it wants to be known for, and what it’s currently doing wrong or could be doing better you can’t build an effective content strategy for a page you haven’t taken the time to understand next, you need to build a content system around the brand’s goals this could be a mix of educational content, product focused posts, or even funny and relatable contents the mix depends on the brand, its audience, and what the page owner wants to achieve you don’t just post because you need to keep the account active, every content type should have a purpose these are just a few things i consider when managing a brand or personal account as an smm there’s a lot more that goes into managing a page effectively, but understanding the brand and having a clear content system are two of those things i wouldn’t skip
