Dunno about you, but I'm pretty excited. Yields and the dollar dropped like a rock today, and evidence of capital rotation is occuring. $RSP, $IWM and $FXI significantly outperformed $SPY and $QQQ. $SLV and $GLD recovered nicely today. If there's any kind of positive geopolitical development, we would be coiled like a spring for a final blast-off event.
People tend to be too skittish. I should make one thing clear, I'm not a short-term trader. I use technical analysis to make short to medium-term forecasts and to keep my mind occupied. The fundamentals, broader macro picture, valuation and overall theme is what determines the long-term. I don't really care if my positions fall back to a support level if an underlying structure remains and the valuation is sound. In fact, structure may become temporarily fractured and it won't deter me if I believe the long-term thesis remains intact. The most important thing is that you can remain mentally resilient through volatility. If you understand what you own, you'll feel more at ease when the boat gets rocked.
$BABA This falling wedge is holding structure. Within it is an inverse head & shoulders playing out. Zoom out and we have a mega cup and handle. Mega multi-year cup and handles tend to resolve to parabolic runs, and the biggest part of the move happens very quickly. See $MU, $SLV, and $IBM for examples.
