$BTC - If you’re bullish, here's a chart you don’t want to see. Every midterm Q4 since Bitcoin’s inception has been negative. -18% in 2014 -43% in 2018 -15% in 2022 …with November being the worst month each time. 3 data points isn't a law, but it's what we got. Midterms are Nov 3. Is this time different?
$BTC - If you were bearish 3 months ago but you’re bullish now then you’re mentally offside. The banana zone breakout will come off a low, not the high. When the time comes (if not catalyst driven) then the market will be full tilt - underexposed at the high & keen to short resistance.
$BTC - No change. A nice sweep to 72k-74k and holding that as a low in the month of September as a low offers a clear entry and stop. Below 72k and things don't look as great on technicals / structure.
Rarely do things go exactly as planned but this time it sort of did… Have been waiting for a sweep of 76k into 75k-72k for basically the larger part of 3 weeks now. Clarity - not passing was pretty much my base case so today’s news was no surprise. The surprise would be if it actually passed. FOMC - Tomorrow the market thinks Warsh will hike 25 bps so the surprise would be a hold. We’d probably bounce if we hold. Honestly have reservations about saying this but maybe we even bounce if we hike because things are getting skewed a bit too bearish too suddenly. Could be something I’m not seeing? For $BTC 75k-72k is a long but I’ll be patient going into qtr end. Could be a bit choppy. I could see a bounce tomorrow from FOMC for a few days only to get sold down next week too. Idea is to BTFD. Next week seems better as right now seems a bit premature. gFuego 🕯️
