Amazon's Capital Expenditure needs to be talked about. The street wanted $57B this quarter, $AMZN came in at $77B So what? Do you want them not to spend? First and foremost, they have almost $600B of secured backlog Second, do you want your orders to keep arriving so quickly? Well, they kinda have the second largest logistical network in the world so how exactly should they buy millions of vehicles, planes and what not - without CapEx?? Let alone the AI buildout financing.. So if they stop spending and thus lower their growth rates the multiple compresses, but then if they spend and grow so rapidly the market says "no" to that spending🤔 What? Should they just spawn everything for free? I'm sure that would make them the best company ever right? This was one of the best quarters I have seen and someone big thinks so as well. That 13% dip was gone in seconds - I opened my brokerage to buy at $210and the stock was back at $230 before I blinked Idk if it's Berkshire or whoever. But Amazon has a playbook, they've always had it and they know what to do. People who've held them for decades could give a f*ck about their stock under-performing the S&P500 lately So go ahead and sell it. Imma buy as much as I can 😇
