I'm almost certain the affordability crisis doesn't exist. It seems more and more like if you dont spend money on Uber, InstaCart, Starbucks, DoorDash, and all the other $10 per hit services marketed at us everyday - you're fine. And if you know how to coupon and time sales - youre even better. And if you just live within your means, you can save your money for those important things. And if you invest your money, even a few bucks into an Acorn account, you'll be set later in life. There isnt an affordability crisis. There's a budgeting crisis. There's a fiscal responsibility crisis. And no, all you 20-somethings, out there. You're not supposed to have a $90K salary & incredible credit to buy that $500K home. You're supposed to get an entry level, shitty job and grind. You're supposed to pay your dues, build your career, and live "poor" to build yourself into an established adult. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk.
