Every exchange that asks for your passport and a selfie is building a database someone will eventually leak. Keep what you can in a wallet that never asked who you are.

Governments want to see every payment you make, and still can't tell you where their own budget went. Privacy should run the other way.

Cash leaves no record of what you bought. A card leaves one with your bank and the card network, and they keep it for years. Monero and Zcash are the closest thing we have to cash online, which is why I'll keep defending them.

Your bank can freeze your account, reverse your payment and ask you to explain why you want your own money. None of that works on a wallet where you hold the keys.

The hard part of a self-custody wallet isn't the recovery phrase. It's the first deposit: picking the right network, trusting an address you can't read, and sending real money to it for the first time. That's the part of BiorVault we're working on next.

The hard part of building a wallet is not the crypto. It is that a wallet has to be right every single time. A social app can ship a bad week and nobody remembers by Tuesday. If a balance renders wrong once, that person is gone, and they should be.

Nobody writes threads about the week where nothing broke. But that means the product is actually working. Uneventful is earned.

Spent a while this week reading which wallets actually route Uniswap v4 on that chain. Turns out v4 doesn't mean hooked, which I had wrong. A pool can have no hook at all.
