Which investors are global markets making happy? Whitney Tilson, Editor at Stansberry Research, made striking remarks during a program. Whitney Tilson: "I believe the key to successful long-term investing is finding a few outstanding companies and holding them for a long time. The market is so short-term focused that the only way to beat it as an active investor is to play a different game— which means buying and holding high-quality companies over the long term, just as Warren Buffett has long advocated. When I started my investment career a quarter-century ago, one of the biggest challenges was accessing information—obtaining companies’ annual reports. Today, the situation is exactly the opposite; it’s like drinking from a fire hose, and you must filter out the right signal from all the noise!"

Has the cryptocurrency sector emerged from the crisis? We observed a high-volume breakout above the $80K–$82K range in Bitcoin, and strong performers in the altcoin market have also come alive. The mentioned region is now acting as support, but we have not yet moved significantly beyond it. We are also approaching November 3, when the U.S. midterm elections will take place. As we near a date that could shift market balances, we’ve also noticed Bitcoin’s strong performance relative to gold recently. We’ve witnessed Bitcoin building a bottom against both the dollar and gold. The current outlook can be seen as a significant glimmer of hope that the worst may be behind Bitcoin.

Have cryptocurrencies moved away from the dangerous support zone? On CNBC’s Blocker program, I evaluated the current state of the cryptocurrency market. As we approach November 3, when the U.S. midterm elections will take place, financial markets remain volatile. We see Bitcoin testing the critical $80K–$82K range as support this time. Bitcoin’s formation of a higher low during a period of weakness in precious metals should not be interpreted negatively. We would like to see a monthly close above the $2.6K level for Ether, and the Others Market Cap should remain above the $215B–$220B range.

Will financial markets hold steady at critical thresholds? Katie Stockton, founder of Fairlead Strategies, shared her insights on current events during a program. Katie Stockton: "The past several weeks have been quite challenging for financial markets. We believe this could be a sign of weakening, but it’s still crucial to monitor support levels during this period. We can say that the support levels appear solid—even though momentum looks alarming, it’s important to stay calm."

Can global markets withstand it? Eric Robertsen, Chief Global Researcher at Standard Chartered Bank, made remarks on current events during a program. Eric Robertsen: "Until recently, we had balancing positive factors such as technology and artificial intelligence. If we transition to a world where capital expenditures (CapEx) in the technology sector begin to slow down or lose momentum, problems will arise. Even if they do not raise interest rates at the October meeting, the market will assume that potential rate hikes have merely been postponed to a later date."

Are financial markets exaggerating developments? Wells Fargo’s Chief Economist, Tom Porcelli, made striking comments during a program on current events. Tom Porcelli: “Because I know my time horizon is sufficiently long, I’m very comfortable—I’m not particularly bothered by market volatility. If I ever believed we were on the verge of a sharp downturn, I would make some adjustments to my portfolio. Otherwise, I simply accept the situation and let it unfold. I believe the rise in bond yields is real, and I think a new floor has formed beneath bond yields. What people should keep in mind—especially equity investors, who may be fixated on this more than anyone else—is that rising bond yields are not inherently bad; what matters is why they’re rising. If yields are increasing for sound reasons, then there’s nothing wrong with that—and I believe most of the recent increases have stemmed from positive fundamentals.”

Will financial markets lose their strength? Anastasia Amoroso, Chief Investment Strategist at Partners Group, shared her insights on current developments during a program. Anastasia Amoroso: "Factors such as geopolitical uncertainty and interest rate volatility are now being absorbed. Thanks to earnings growth accelerated by strong economic expansion, companies are able to comfortably absorb these high returns. Personally, I believe in asset class diversification; my portfolio certainly includes public assets like the S&P and Nasdaq. It also includes artificial intelligence investments and corporate equities, but I view this universe as a continuum from public to private, expanding my scope to encompass opportunities in private markets. I maintain my bullish outlook for the current upswing."

Will global markets continue to gain strength? Jacob Manoukian, Head of U.S. Investment Strategy at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, made striking remarks during a program on current developments. Jacob Manoukian: “We believe artificial intelligence will continue to drive this earnings supercycle. As news flows continue, we can see investors rebalancing their positions, but AI will remain the dominant force in the market. Expectations are high, but I believe there are two areas that could surprise investors. The first is the positive feedback loop emerging between hyperscalers’ investment returns, cloud investment returns, and the direct infrastructure ecosystem.”

Will global markets meet expectations? Matt Weir, Co-Chair of the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, shared his insights on current events during a program. Matt Weir: "I don't see anything to be concerned about. In the future, we may only experience a modest slowdown in growth rates that have been moving quite rapidly. Tech stocks are reaching new highs, but I don’t believe this is the final peak. It’s too early to say the bull market is over."

Will the crypto industry go mainstream? CFTC Chairman Michael Selig made significant remarks on current issues during a panel discussion. Michael Selig: "As we saw with the collapse of FTX four years ago, many exchanges, despite being licensed at the state level, lack market-focused regulations. Through market regulations, we prevent manipulation, protect customer funds, and clarify the separation of responsibilities among institutions. We do not have the authority to require every exchange to register with us—that would require the Clarity Act. However, we can create a federal option, and that is precisely what we are doing here. In collaboration with the SEC chair, we are building a comprehensive on-chain surveillance system to monitor insider trading in tokens, just as we do with traditional equities. Although this area is new to us, our core mission is to detect these violations by working alongside exchanges on emerging on-chain markets and derivative products."
