Flying Cars? Elon Musk's Tesla demonstrated the redesigned Roadster at SpaceX’s testing facility in McGregor, Texas, showcasing technology developed with SpaceX that allows the electric sports car to perform short aerial maneuvers using high-pressure thrusters. During the demonstration, the Roadster launched up an inverted ramp, traveled upside down and returned to the pavement. Tesla also demonstrated the vehicle lifting itself through the air over a lineup of Tesla vehicles, including the Cybertruck, Semi, Cybercab, Model Y and Model 3. The technology isn’t intended to turn the Roadster into an airplane capable of sustained flight. Instead, the system allows the car to briefly leave the ground and perform extreme maneuvers using SpaceX-inspired propulsion technology.

Airtel Uganda has added Starlink satellite-to-mobile coverage to its network as it works towards a licence requirement for national mobile operators to cover at least 90% of Uganda’s geographical area. The service connects compatible Airtel smartphones directly to Starlink satellites where terrestrial coverage disappears, making Uganda the second Airtel Africa market to deploy it commercially after the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Melinda Auma, the mother of slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno, pleaded with the High Court not to sentence former Migori Governor Okoth Obado to death or life imprisonment for murdering her daughter, saying her family depends on him for their livelihood. She told the court that if Obado receives a non-custodial sentence, he would at least be able to help support Sharon’s children. Elsewhere, Douglas Zachariah Otieno, the father, also told the High Court that he would not oppose a non-custodial sentence for Obado.
