Multi-vendor multisig means you don't have to rely on just one hardware device manufacturer, so your bitcoin stays protected even if one of your devices has a security issue You can get started with hardware you already own and your mobile phone in less than 5 minutes. When Coldcard’s flaw surfaced in August, Casa multisig vaults with Coldcard wallets were unaffected. https://t.co/WtkyvuzIju More resources on multi-vendor multisig in the comments.

"What happens to my bitcoin if Casa disappears?" is one of the most common questions we get, and you can answer it for yourself in about two minutes. Open your vault in the Casa app, tap Deposit Funds, and export the wallet descriptor. Load it into Sparrow and your vault reappears outside our app, with the same policy and the same addresses down to the first one on the list. The descriptor tells any wallet where your bitcoin lives. The keys you hold are what move it. Every vault comes with a Casa key which is never required to move your bitcoin. The Casa key exists to help you recover your vault if you lose a key and to make signing easier.

Two footguns most bitcoiners miss when setting up multisig according to @lopp. Not backing up your wallet descriptor, and treating multi-vendor multisig as "set it and forget it.” https://t.co/qP3qIYaOhy
