the fight in tokenized cash is moving to the custodian bitgo will carry wisdomtree's WTGXX right next to USD1 and SoFiUSD, and BNY wants its clients minting RLUSD directly. the bank holding the cash ends up choosing which token it sits in

a french IBAN is 27 characters and the wire form still wants a BIC, the bank's name and the bank's street address an ethereum address is 42 characters and that's the whole form

USDT is the bigger stablecoin. USDC is the one that actually moves last week USDC did $598B in onchain transfers vs $389B for USDT, and USDG from paxos quietly came in 4th at $16.9B https://t.co/kLGHQtluAL

ripple's national trust bank got final OCC approval yesterday, so RLUSD reserves now sit under federal supervision. the onchain side is more interesting. last 30 days RLUSD moved $13.3B on ethereum vs $9.2B on the XRP ledger, where the median transfer was under one cent https://t.co/pqtAgwNr41

miss your bank's wire cut off by one minute and your money spends the night at the bank stablecoins don't have a cut off. they don't even know what time it is

today @HSBC put a stablecoin inside payme. 3.3M users can turn it on without opening a new account. launch day reserve page: ~$10M in circulation, all backed by cash. if people never notice they're paying with a stablecoin, is that adoption or just a new backend?

tokenized equities have their own onchain tape now. the real question is whether it tells you something the offchain market doesn't. @Dune dug into exactly that in After Issuance, worth a read if you cover RWAs.
