There's still over $600k on Blastr, and 5 people have NFTs of the collection I created. Please go withdraw that money off before late October. My quick thoughts on Blast shutting down: 1) I have self-deprecated and mocked myself for the wrongness of my gold predictions for years now. You can carry on with that, it's deserved. 2) More projects should just shut down like Blast is doing. There are so many zombie projects in crypto where a ton of money is just sitting around and nothing is happening. 3) Crypto is all about waves of attention and momentum. You catch one and gain extreme value, or you fizzle out and end up worthless. Blast was the latter. Most that catch a wave eventually end up worthless too.

A few takeaways from the Magic Eden craziness. 1) Man @0xQuit is the hero this industry didn't even know it needed. 2) We are way too trusting of developers who mean well but are unregulated, unprotected by any legal system, and have limited safety rails. It's one of crypto's biggest flaws. 3) This issue in 2 is much worse in the AI age where no mistake goes unpunished. 4) Your WETH and USDC are vulnerable too, not just NFTs. Move your coins to fresh wallets that have never given permission to anything. And move WETH to ETH. 5) Unless you've done a full audit of your wallets recently, you probably have more vulnerabilities than you realize. 6) Most people get hit eventually. So have compassion towards people who get robbed as opposed to yelling about their poor opsec.

Over the summer, I parted ways with @Memeland. After 2.5 years, the company and I were moving in different directions and it made sense to move on. I loved working there and have nothing but respect for the company, the projects, and the people. @9gagceo is one of the most creative, insightful people I've ever worked with. He has takes/angles/analogies that nobody else sees. @0xChar is one of the very best business people in crypto. Both are good friends, and I'll keep helping out whenever I can be useful. Most of my comp was in the company's token and I never sold a single one. This has been my approach with every employer in the space, and it's a point of pride for how I approach work here. Separately, last month I decided to take a break from X. After five years of posting 5-10 times a day, I wanted to see what life's like without the constant dopamine loop of being online. I'll be back, just taking a break. Career-wise, I have started to spend more of my time coaching, both for people working on businesses as well as relationships. I’ll continue to take on consulting projects in NFTs and crypto as they arise. Ahoy, and see you soon 👋🥔
