Amazon spent $40 million making a movie starring Andrew Garfield as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, only to decide not to release it when it was almost finished The movie, called Artificial, follows the chaos at OpenAI in 2023 when Sam Altman was fired as CEO and brought back just days later Filming was already done and the movie was nearly ready when Amazon decided it would be better off with another studio Just a few months earlier, Amazon had announced a $50 Billion investment in OpenAI, the very company the movie was about Amazon put the film up for sale, Netflix and several other studios passed on it, and eventually a much smaller distributor called Neon bought the rights Neon is now planning to release the movie this Christmas!

WisdomTree CIO says Elon Musk wants SpaceX to eventually acquire Tesla Jeremy: “I do think they will merge (SpaceX & Tesla). I think ultimately they'll come to terms with SpaceX ... You gotta figure out what is the valuation that they come together” Andy: “Is that SpaceX acquiring Tesla?” Jeremy: “Yeah, I think that's the only way. That's what Elon wants for sure. He's got more control of SpaceX” “There's clearly a rationale with AI. They talked about the car could be distributed compute for people. You could have Starlink connected everywhere”

Rasmr goes off on Apple's $2,000 foldable iPhone, says only a 9 year-old would want one “If you think the iPhone Duo is better than this iPhone... you're 9 years old” “You know when I look at my phone, I don't look at a phone thinking, 'I wish this could fold' Why would you need a phone to fold? It's for f*cking 9 year-olds bro. It's de*d ass that phone is for 9 year-olds” “It doesn't even have Face ID bro. You have to use your fingerprint to open it”

Canary Capital CEO warns the AI boom is already overbuilt, with companies stockpiling GPUs they haven't even installed “Anthropic put out their S1 yesterday. They're frantically trying to get an IPO done while there's still money in the market” “A lot of data centers have been built, and there's actually been an overbuilding of data centers and overbuying of GPUs. And a lot of the large companies are just buying GPUs and they haven't even set them up yet” “They're buying them because they're afraid of potential scarcity. But as far as compute, we have too much compute right now ... I believe there's gonna be some consolidation. A lot of the smaller hyperscalers are gonna have issues”

Miles Deutscher uses AI versions of Warren Buffett and Ray Dalio to debate investment decisions “What I actually did for fun is I added another repo, which actually had investor profiles. So, at one point, I had Warren Buffett arguing with Ray Dalio” “Once the researcher team gets that report, it essentially comprises both a bull case and a bear case. And they’ll actually have a series of structured debates, so they’ll go back and forth to actually balance the potential gains and the inherent risks” “And the trader agent will essentially come up with the final decision. So, do we want to buy? Do we want to sell? And then it will give a proposal of the proposed transaction to the risk management team”

Miles Deutscher shows how to use AI to analyze stocks across any sector and find the best investment opportunities “Remember, you can do this on any asset. You could do this on Bitcoin. You could do this on gold. You could do this on a series of stocks. You could ask it to research a particular sector and get information on that sector to find the best opportunities” “For example, ‘I’m bullish on semiconductor stocks. Pick the top three opportunities within the top 50 semiconductor stocks.’ Okay, because it’s scanning and analyzing more stocks, it is going to burn more tokens, but you can actually use this on research loops to spot opportunities as well” “Because it has the capability, the flow is still the same. It’s still going to run it through the same process. It’s up to you to determine the best way to use it once again”

Sylvester Stallone says he broke his neck at 21 but was too broke to get it fixed “I was doing a fight scene in Expendables with Steve Austin… So I go to the doctor. They go, ‘Oh, you broke your neck. Again.’ I go, ‘What do you mean, again?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, you have double autofusions.’ I didn’t realize that at the time” “I was doing a bench press when I was maybe 21, in a wrestler’s bridge, which means you’re putting all your weight on the back. It’s really ridiculous. And it snaps. And I think, ‘Oh, I just strained it a little bit.’ I couldn’t move my head” “So literally, for maybe five weeks, I take a towel, twist it, and walk around. Go buy some eggs, cottage cheese, come back, and then do the same thing. I didn’t realize I’d broken my back, but I couldn’t afford to have it fixed. So it autofuses… 17 degrees forward. So I’ve got to constantly go back”

Miles Deutscher uses AI to find out if company insiders are actually putting their own money into a stock “If we actually dig deeper into one of the top ones on this list, TSM, it has 31 buyers, which looks extraordinary. But if you dig deeper and ask for more analysis, you can see that these purchases are around $40,000 each at VP level and they were all filed on the same day” “So that could just be a compensation plan executing, not necessarily 31 people independently like just deciding to buy. The problem is a raw screener can’t tell those things apart. So you have to look at the sizes and the filing dates” “So the really useful version of this prompt isn’t give me the clusters or give me the raw data. It’s give me the data, but flag anything that looks like a batch so you can find the outlier data within that data set”

Rasmr says trenchers are driving Pump fun away by acting like the worst people on Earth “Why is Pump fun distancing themselves from the trenches? Why do these companies distance themselves from the trenches? Well, maybe it's because 0xEthan is drilling on his callouts, maybe it's because Prosper is flexing a weapon, maybe it's because people are threatening each other with violence in the trenches and they are literally acting like the worst people on Earth” “Maybe that's why these large companies don't want to champion the Doov. Maybe there isn't a proper figure that is worthy of respect and championing in the trenches” “You look at the people that a company is willing to back, it's more like a guy like Ansem or ThreadGuy. These guys are not gonna go too crazy far”
