The number of addresses on the Chainlink network has surged, but the token price has remained at around $7.30.
In 48 hours, Chainlink added more than 6,180 addresses to the network. Meanwhile, the price of its native token has hovered around $7.30.
According to Santiment, this surge in late June marked the largest two-day expansion of this oracle's wallet count in 2026. Currently, the total number of active Ethereum-based LINK wallets exceeds 892,800. Users are actively migrating to the network, but price growth has lagged behind user growth.
Shift Toward Real Assets
This difference is driven by the trend toward tokenization of real assets. CoinGecko data shows that the tokenized asset space has grown by more than 100% since the beginning of 2025.
Institutional platforms require data oracles to ensure the security of tokenized assets, which has fueled network adoption, regardless of the token's performance. Due to the token's slow price movement, retail traders ignored it while developers continued to develop its cross-chain settlement layer.#SK Hynix Nasdaq IPO #Anthropic resumes AI model access #Robotics company secures major funding
