Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are sharply lower in early trade after US chip and data-center stocks sold off on the midterm results. Micron fell 7%, Nvidia 3.2% and CoreWeave 9.5%, while hyperscalers rose. Korean memory makers sell into the same hyperscaler capex, so a slower data-center buildout hits them too. Projects already under way and existing supply contracts should see limited impact, which caps how far earnings estimates for AI-infrastructure suppliers get cut.
