NFT creation becomes more interesting when privacy is built into the process itself. @FungoLabs is exploring this through Zama’s Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), bringing encrypted data and unpredictable trait generation into its Genesis NFT collection. The interesting part is how the technology works behind the scenes. NFT traits and related data remain encrypted onchain, while smart contracts can still perform computations on that encrypted information. In other words, the underlying data doesn't need to be exposed for the system to function. FHE also plays a role in generating NFT characteristics through encrypted randomness. This helps prevent anyone from knowing or influencing the outcome in advance, including the team behind the collection. What makes this approach worth watching is the balance between privacy, computational transparency and fair distribution. Instead of treating encryption as just another security feature, FungoLabs is exploring how it can change the way digital collectibles are created. A different direction for NFTs and an interesting real-world application of Zama’s technology.
