📺 The Market Is Setting Up For A BIG Move After The Midterms Please ❤️like and 🔁share with fellow growth stock investors @TedHZhang notes that the market remains in a mild correction, but the technical damage is getting harder to ignore. Short- and medium-term trends are bearish, and even the long-term uptrend is beginning to deteriorate. With the midterm elections underway, Friday's labor market report approaching, and volatility rising, we're setting up for a potentially significant move. * The $SPX / $SPY has posted three consecutive weeks of weak closes, with rallies repeatedly rejected at key moving averages. $QQQ is even weaker, closing below its 40-week moving average after three straight declining weeks. We're reaching a point where a sharp oversold snapback rally is increasingly likely, but that doesn't necessarily mean the correction is over. * Underneath the surface, the divergence is striking. $RSP has outperformed, rising five consecutive weeks, but is now approaching significant resistance. The Dow $DIA remains stronger than the Nasdaq and S&P 500, although its latest rally was rejected at the 20-week moving average. Mid-caps $MDY are struggling at the 30-week, while small-caps $IWM has been rejected at the 10-week and is testing its 40-week moving average. The concern? Previously resilient areas could start declining alongside technology, turning a concentrated correction into a broader market selloff. * AI infrastructure remains particularly vulnerable. Our Revere AI 100 fell another 4.54%, while $MAGS is heading toward its fourth consecutive declining week. The Magnificent Seven ETF has confirmed a failed breakout, falling below its 10-, 20-, and 30-week moving averages. We're watching for a familiar bearish pattern: a sharp breakdown followed by a temporary rebound into declining moving averages, where sellers regain control. We've already seen this setup in precious metals. $GLD broke below its 40-week moving average following a blow-off rally, while $SLV bounced into its declining 30- and 40-week averages before rolling over again. AI infrastructure stocks could follow a similar path. * Meanwhile, #Bitcoin $IBIT presents a potentially different opportunity. Its key moving averages are aligning, and a retest of the 30- and 40-week could offer a lower-risk buying setup if support holds. * At the same time, the U.S. dollar continues to strengthen, repeatedly finding support at its five-week EMA. Its breakout resembles the one seen in September 2021. A strong dollar is typically another headwind for risk assets. * Volatility is also flashing warning signs. $VIX is back above 20, jumping roughly 10% on Monday, and a spike above 30 remains possible. The S&P 500's ATR is rising toward 1%, signaling increasingly large price swings. * Now the market faces two major catalysts: the midterm elections, with important implications for regulation and fiscal policy, and Friday's BLS employment report. * The setup is clear: stocks are increasingly oversold, making a powerful post-election rally possible. But with declining moving averages overhead, weakening AI leadership, and the risk of broader selling, any bounce needs to prove itself. The BIG question isn't whether stocks can rally after the midterms – it's whether that rally can break through resistance or becomes another opportunity for sellers to take control. * Watch this Short video where @TedHZhang breaks it all down in detail 🔽
