One detail in @vangrid_io’s October 30 reveal deserves a closer look: “Agent” already means something in Vangrid’s product. In the docs, an agent is software that can pay for someone to film a specific place. The request uses USDC on Base or Arc, and a 3D reconstruction becomes available after a capture is accepted. Now Vangrid is teasing “Agents” as an identity on the grid, with an OpenSea reveal. But the announcement doesn’t yet say whether these identities connect to the people collecting data, the software placing bounties, or something else. Thats the part I want to understand on October 30. A name on the grid sounds interesting; knowing what it actually represents would be much more useful.
