What’s the biggest fear in DeFi? I don’t think it’s low yields—it’s seeing an attractive APY, spending hours researching, and still not understanding where the returns actually come from. Recently, I’ve been following f(x) Protocol’s updates and noticed meaningful progress in its collaboration with Morpho. On October 5, the official team disclosed two key figures: the annualized yield for USDC in Morpho-related markets reached 10.70%, and the total borrowing volume secured by fxSAVE had already hit $20 million. The most significant takeaway here is actually the second number. ① fxSAVE is no longer just about earning yield Previously, fxSAVE was best known for depositing USDC to earn returns via the underlying stablecoin pool and protocol activity—with rewards automatically reinvested. But now, with integration from @Morpho, holders can also use fxSAVE as collateral to borrow USDC. What does this mean? Say you hold $10,000 worth of fxSAVE and suddenly need some USDC for liquidity—you can borrow against your fxSAVE on Morpho according to prevailing collateral requirements, without having to sell your entire position. Of course, borrowing incurs interest, and there are risks of collateral value fluctuations and liquidation—it’s not a free ATM. ② Why is RockawayX worth paying attention to? This Morpho market is strategically managed by @RockawayX. For regular users, the key point is that collateral parameters, interest rates, and risk management are now overseen by a dedicated team. But strategy management does not equal principal protection. The 10.70% APY reflects current market conditions and will fluctuate with supply and demand. ③ Why am I bullish on this direction? Because for a DeFi product to truly succeed, high yields alone aren’t enough—you need people willing to hold the asset, others willing to borrow it, and seamless movement of assets across protocols. By integrating with Morpho, fxSAVE has evolved from a yield-focused asset into one that also enables collateralized borrowing. From fxUSD to fxSAVE, and now into Morpho’s lending market, f(x) is steadily connecting its stablecoin ecosystem. I believe this kind of functional evolution is far more worth long-term attention than simply chasing a high APY. @protocol_fx Personal summary only—not investment advice. DYOR.
