DOT-USD Spot Index (.KDOTUSD) monitors the real-time spot price of DOT across 5 exchanges (binance,okex,kucoin,kraken,crypto). It is a weighted index calculated using the order book data from these exchanges. KuCoin collects and processes this data, applies weighted calculations to the order prices and quantities, and determines the index price.
*If the price of a single exchange deviates from the index by more than 5%, the price of that exchange is considered invalid.
Index Calculation Rules: For a single exchange, the index price is obtained by cross-weighting the prices and quantities of the first and second tiers of the bid and ask orders. The data from each exchange is uniformly sorted to calculate the final index price. The weight of each exchange's index component correlates to the order quantities in their order book.
*If an exchange experiences instability issues, said index will be adjusted accordingly.
