Suspicion of cryptocurrency mining against Yoo Jeong-bok, candidate for mayor of Incheon from the People Power Party, during the Korean local elections. While cryptocurrency mining is legal, the issue seems to be that it occurred the day after the 12.3 martial law declaration and allegations of asset concealment. I’m not really into politics, but I’m just curious about which cryptocurrency it is and the wallet address 😅. Just those two things, nothing more. So far, the clues are: - It is said that 21,000 coins were mined. - The quoted article mentions Ethereum, but Ethereum switched from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake years ago. It’s probably not Ethereum. - The value is also said to be around 500 million KRW. 21,000 Ethereum coins would not be 500 million KRW—based on today’s Ethereum price, it would be 6.54 billion KRW. If I could find out just the name of the cryptocurrency or the wallet address, it would be a rare on-chain detective content 😄🤣
