Cours de New XAI gork

GORK is a community‑driven meme token on the Solana blockchain, inspired by Elon Musk’s AI chatbot “Grok” but with no official ties to xAI or Musk himself. Deployed as an SPL token, GORK leverages Solana’s high throughput and low fees to enable fast, inexpensive transfers and trading. Despite its playful origins, GORK has attracted serious attention—peaking at a market cap north of $70 M in early May 2025—and ranks among the top 600 tokens by on‑chain metrics. It trades on both decentralized exchanges like Raydium and Orca, and centralized venues such as Gate.io, Bitget, and MEXC.

Under the hood, GORK is a standard Solana SPL token: holders interact with it via any SPL‑compatible wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Ledger) and route transactions through Solana’s validator network. It was “fair‑launched” on Pump.fun—meaning all tokens were minted at genesis with no pre‑sale or team allocation—and the smart‑contract has been renounced to eliminate admin controls. Liquidity is provided by community pools on DEXs, where users can swap SOL ⇄ GORK or provide dual‑asset LP tokens to earn fees and rewards. Optional, community‑driven token burns can be coordinated to manage supply, but there’s no built‑in tax or automatic burn.

GORK’s story began in early 2025 as a parody of the xAI “Grok” chatbot. A community meme account on X (formerly Twitter) first floated the idea, and after Grok itself suggested “GrokCoin” as a memecoin name, the creators tweaked it to “Gork” to avoid trademark issues. On launch day, GORK debuted via Pump.fun’s fair‑launch mechanism, distributing 1 billion tokens—all immediately circulating and fully unlocked—with no vesting schedules or insider reserves. Its AI‑inspired branding and purple blob mascot (designed via MidJourney prompts) fueled rapid social‑media buzz, driving trading volumes into the tens of millions within days.

Primarily, GORK functions as a pure‑play speculative asset and community rallying point. Traders swap it for short‑term gains, while long‑term holders view it as a cultural token that embodies the intersection of AI hype and memecoin culture. Beyond speculation, GORK can be used for:

Liquidity Provision: Stake SOL–GORK LP tokens on Raydium/Orca to earn trading fees.

Community Governance: Participate in Telegram and Discord polls where major burn or marketing decisions are made collectively.

Viral Campaigns: Some projects reward GORK holders with NFTs or bonus tokens for meme contests and social‑media challenges.

Fair‑Launch Pools: Provide liquidity in SOL–GORK pools on Pump.fun or Raydium to receive LP tokens, earning a share of swap fees.

Community Airdrops & Contests: Join meme‑making campaigns, Twitter challenges, or Discord events—winners often receive GORK prizes.

Staking Promotions: Occasionally, decentralized platforms run “farm and earn” pools where you stake other tokens to earn GORK rewards.

Purchase on Exchanges: Simply buy GORK spot on Gate.io, Bitget, MEXC, or swap SOL for GORK on Orca/Raydium.

GORK’s entire 1 billion‑token supply was minted at launch and immediately set into circulation—there are no locked‑up reserves or vesting cliffs. The contract is renounced, so no further minting or admin changes can occur, and a community‑opt‑in burn mechanism lets holders coordinate supply reductions. On‑chain data shows moderate centralization—top 100 wallets control roughly 59% of tokens—so watch for potential whale movements. Overall, GORK’s tokenomics favor maximum decentralization of supply at genesis, with ongoing governance left to its vibrant community.

GORK did not conduct a traditional airdrop—instead, it used a fair‑launch model on Pump.fun where all tokens were sold at launch price, and no free claims were distributed. If you’re seeing “GORK airdrop” promotions on third‑party sites, exercise caution: these are typically exchange‑specific marketing campaigns (e.g., deposit‑and‑get deals on Bitget or CoinW) rather than official distributions. To acquire GORK, your safest route is swapping SOL for GORK on reputable DEXs or buying on a major CEX with proven liquidity.
